Thank you for these wonderful comments from our patron and Mayor, Rodney Reid. To the hard working committee and the many many volunteers who work behind the scenes, I wish to say thank you and congratulations on the 20 Eisteddfod. Everyday of the eisteddfod I was enriched with music and talent. In a world where the media often paints a negative picture for young people this weekend we saw young people expressing themselves through different ways and enjoying it. History remembers societies and cultures often by their arts. The eisteddfod is a training ground for many future adult performers across the state. Well Done

Phew!! Day one done and dusted - what a great day's entertainment! Two days to go. Congratulations to all of the Friday competition winners. ...... I tried to take some photos of groups after they performed, but many raced off before I could get the camera function up on my phone! (Maybe a fast shutter proper camera is in order??). Hence this little collection of blurry photos of vocal ensembles leaving the stage!! Photos or videos (unless an APRA|AMCOS domestic video licence is produced) are NOT permitted DURING performances, but can be taken either at the beginning or the end of a performance - audience members please note signs posted that say "No photos to be taken during performances". Good luck to everyone for today - Saturday 6th August 2016
